![]() Students who wish to obtain a license to teach courses in special K-12 areas must major in the specific subject they choose. The students are also advised in this department. The students then follow the requirements of the major, the requirements of the university core curriculum, and the professional education requirements. Program Goals :

Course Requirements : The student who wishes to obtain license to teach art in grades K-12 must follow the catalog requirements for that major. In addition, the student must complete the High Point University Core Curriculum and the required professional education courses for K-12 specialty area licensure.
